Mission Viejo CA – Bird-B-Gone, Inc, leading manufacturer of professional bird control products would like to announce an exciting new feature to their website – “Ask the Bird Expert ”. Bird-B-Gone has added an Ornithologist to their team of bird control specialists to help customers tackle tough bird problems. Customers posting questions will receive answers from a PHD in Ornithology on a variety of topics including bird control, bird behavior and more. The new page will have a “Meet the Ornithologist” section with a bio, list of qualifications and an archive of previously asked questions and answers. “Ask the Expert” is just one of the many free resources Bird-B-Gone offers to their customers. Ask This Old House Reviews the Bird Spider – Video

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 by admin

Ask This Old House – sister show of the T.V. classic This Old House  Recently reviewed our Bird Spider on a What is It? segment of the show. What is it? is a part of the show when viewers can send in unusual looking products to see if the team of hosts can figure out what it is or does:

“Ask This Old House is seeking unusual-looking objects. Got a strange tool or product related to home improvement? Now is your chance to stump the guys!”

The hosts at Ask This Old House have a little fun with our admittedly unusual looking product, starting with guesses on what it actually is used for, and then go into an explanation.

The Bird Spider is a visual bird deterrent that uses motion to keep large pest birds such as pigeons, seagulls, crows and cormorants off of boats, docks, pilings, air conditioning units, chimney caps, patio furniture, pool areas, light fixtures and more.  We were very pleased that Ask This Old House chose the Bird Spider for review, and even happier that a customer out there sent it in. Thank You!!

Giant Bird Appears Behind News Anchor

Friday, November 13th, 2009 by admin

From: Myfoxla.com    Published : Friday, 23 Oct 2009, 2:04 PM PDT

“(MYFOX NATIONAL) – It looked like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock film or “Jurassic Park.”

Peter Hitchener, an anchor on Australia’s Channel Nine news , was on camera on Wednesday night when a giant seagull appeared on the screen behind him. Turns out it was a normal-sized bird that was magnified by the camera shooting the skyline.”

Facility Managers, Business Owners,  and anyone responsible for building maintenance know all to well that pest birds often end up in spaces they just shouldnt be! Whether it’s seagulls on a roofline, pigeons nesting under eaves, or sparrows hanging out on a sign, the “mess” they leave behind can damage building materials and reduce the aesthetics of an area. Unless giant birds are going to be a feature on this news station, they should really think about bird proofing the area, something as simple as bird spikes would likely keep the seagull away.
