Bird Spiders on A/C units.

Question: My customer has pigeons on his roof top A/C units but due to the poor economy he cannot afford to net the unit off, what else can he do?

Answer: Bird Spiders! By covering the A/C unit in bird spiders he can keep the birds from loafing on the units which will help reduce the amount of droppings. The Bird Spiders Stainless Steel “Arms” move in the breeze to create a distraction to the birds to keep them from landing. They start at just $25.00 per unit, which makes them the economical choice for deterring pest birds from building roofs. They are available in 2’, 4’, 6’ & 8’ diameters to accommodate any size job. The spiders can be installed by fastening the plastic base which comes with the spider to the A/C with an adhesive then screwing the spider to the base thus you don’t need to drill/screw into the A/C unit.

Stone netting vs. Black netting

Question: What color netting is best for use in the direct sunlight?

Black Bird Netting Installed on Irvine Train Station.

Answer: Black netting offers the highest degree of UV protection. That is why we guarantee our Black Bird Net 2000 for 10 years against U.V. breakdown. White and Stone net carry a three year guarantee.
Question: Why should I use 2” black netting when excluding the top of a gas station canopy? Answer: First, you should always use 2” netting in open canopy situations where the birds may stand on the netting. Second, we always recommend black netting for direct sunlight applications. Also in areas where snow is an issue – 2” net is the only way to go on horizontal applications. Snow can accumulate on ¾” net very easily and a snow load can easily destroy an installation.

Flat Track Installations

Question: You do not recommend your “Flat Track” Electrical system for gas station canopies...Why Not? Answer: We do not recommend using any electrical system in or around areas where flammable fuels, gases or vapors exist. That’s why when you fill up your car with gasoline you are required to turn your car off. This is to prevent any possibility of creating a flammable situation.
