In areas where birds are loafing or roosting, you will need to use "Ledge Products" to deter the birds from landing.

Bird Spikes will eliminate larger birds like pigeons and gulls from landing and roosting on flat surfaces. There are two types of bird spikes available. Polycarbonate Bird Spikes are rigid plastic spikes that come in a variety of colors to match the area being treated. Stainless Steel Bird Spikes are used in areas of high visibility and are flexible to handle curved surfaces.

Shock Track Systems will eliminate all birds from landing and roosting on flat surfaces. Birds will get a mild shock when they come in contact with the Shock Track Systems which will change their roosting behaviors and move them on. Bird Jolt FlatTrack is the lowest profile shock system available, it is virtually invisible once installed. Shock Track is a flexible shock system handles curved surfaces easily.

Bird Wire is also available to deter larger birds like Pigeons and Gulls from landing and roosting. It creates an uneven surface so the birds can not land.

There are several visual deterrents available that help to scare birds away. Flash Tape, Scare Birds Balloons and Bird Diverters all create a visual diversion that scare birds away from area being protected.

Audio Deterrents:

There are several types of audio deterrents available that help to scare birds away. There are ultra sonic devices that put out ultra sonic sounds that people can not hear, but birds and other animals can. These devices drive the birds away from enclosed areas such as parking garages, sheds and overhangs. There are also sonic sound devices that play loud predator and bird distress calls to scare pest birds away. These are useful in open areas such as vineyards, orchards and other area where pest birds are a problem. It is usually recommended to use these devices in conjunction with other more permanent bird control devices.
