Birds like pigeons and gulls love to land on your boat, roof, A.C. units, and other areas and make them their home. A great way to keep birds away from your property is to install bird spiders. The Bird Spider 360 manufactured by Bird B Gone in the USA is a physical bird deterrent that keeps birds from landing and roosting. It is ideal to use to keep birds away from boats, A.C. units, patio furniture, patio covers, and other areas where birds are a nuisance. The Bird Spider 360 is made with stainless steel arms attached to a UV-protected polycarbonate base. Each arm of the bird spider is fitted with a polycarbonate tip to assist in movement and prevent scuffing. A locking mechanism keeps the Bird Spider 360 securely attached to the base while spinning in the breeze.

How the Bird Spider 360 Works

Bird Spider 360 units come in four sizes: 2-foot, 4-foot, 6-foot, and 8-foot diameters. They feature 8 legs that wiggle and bounce in the breeze, alerting birds to danger in the area. Birds will refuse to land near areas covered by bird spiders and will move on to a more suitable location. Bird spiders are ideal for wide-open areas like boat canvases and A.C. units, covering up to an 8-foot radius, making them one of the most economical bird deterrent devices by area.

When bird spiders are no longer needed—such as when you are actively using your boat or patio furniture, or during the winter months—the spiders can be easily folded up and stored away. Next season, or during docking times for your boat, simply take the spiders out of storage and set them up again.

Bird Spider Base Options

The Bird Spider 360 comes standard with a PVC base that can be glued down to the surface being protected. Use this base for permanent installations such as rooftops, rooftop equipment, and other areas where a permanent solution is the best choice.

There are also three optional bases available for the Bird Spider 360:

  • Sandbag base: Ideal when using the Bird Spider 360 on boat canvases, A.C. units, patio furniture, or other flat surfaces where the spider needs to be weighted down rather than permanently installed.
  • Boat Base: Ideal for use on rolled-up sails, masts, and radar antennas where bird spiders are needed against large perching birds without permanent installation.
  • Railing Mount: Used when pigeons and gulls are landing on boat rails or chain-link fences. The rail mount easily attaches to different-sized rails and is ideal for use with a 2-foot or 4-foot Bird Spider 360.
